Reviewer Dean Gordon-Smith had good things to say about the new release. One thing that could have been a little more clearly stated was the musical--instrumental and vocal--contributions from Andrew and Zachari Smith, who were named as producers, but not as players on the album.

Thanks Dean Gordon-Smith for the review, thanks to everyone involved in the project, and thanks to everyone who supports live music! Thanks Duke Lang for the support! Check their archives files for the January 6th 2018 show's first half for Duke's comments about it. And lots of other good tunes on the show also.

Coming up, Kerry will be interviewed by Richard Sevigny from Salmon Arm's Voice of the Shuswap on the program Live in the Shuswap, airing Wednesdays at 7:00pm, Friday at 3:00pm and Sundays at 11:00. There will be an archive file available, date TBA. Later in the month, Kerry will be seeing Dale 'Bushy' Bush for his program also.

Everything comes from something and goes to something else.

Our friend and partner, Rod MacDonald, bassman extraordinaire, continues his healing journey, and he will play with us again at times, but he has left the lineup as a regular member. We wish him all the best in the future, and we thank him most sincerely for all that he has done in the past.

For the present and for our future, we are pleased to welcome multi-instrumentalist Brian McMahon to our line-up as our go-to bassmaster. Brian (Mr McMusic for years of students) taught music and high school band for...decades. He plays trombone, sax, guitar and bass with the Legendary Lake Monsters, and plays stand-up bass with a number of jazz ensembles. Brian brings a wealth of technical expertise and a barrel of enthusiasm (along with a heavy schedule).

Steel Wound just came on, and I wanted to let you know it sounds great; lots of heart & soul!

"I think it was All New Buddha's Blues that came up on shuffle, but I gave the rest of the record a good listen and really liked how pure and simple the production and arrangements are.

Hope you're well,
Cheers!"
At the risk of being immodest, I had to share that one!

Thank you Kevin Quain for the kind words of encouragement.
